Manipulating fabric surfaces
In my research in material manipulations I got very excited wen I met the laser engraver in the TextielLAB in the TextielMuseum in Tilburg. Melting fabrics with CAD is a super interesting technique.
A knitted fabric processed with laser engraving. The laser melts the yarn, making it thinner and bringing a certain degree of transparency to the fabric.
