Knitted lace translated into prints for hospitality
Famous Dutch fashion illustrator Piet Paris, curator or the design for the MODEZ hotel, invited a group of more than 30 Dutch fashion designers to decorate the twenty rooms and create surprising concepts that characterize their typical styles. Petra Vonk translated her knit designs into hotel proof prints for the bed, wall, glass and curtains. In the small Lace room of the hotel her knits find their way in very diverse products. There is a bright red big knit print for the curtains and pillows, there is a royal blue fine lace print for the paneling on the wall. And the little light bulbs on the shelf have a stretchy elastic cover named "Lamp Pullover" developed and knitted in the TextileLAB of the Textielmuseum Tilburg..
